So I had this weird dream the other night....
I woke up in the hotel room in College Station during AggieCon after this dream.
I'm not after analysis; I'm putting it out here because dang it, someone could probably do something fun with the idea.
The part of the dream I remember involved a fantasy setting in which a fighter was walking around with a sword, trying to kill something.
The problem was, there was a curse on him (don't know if it was on him or an item he was carrying) that caused his prey to turn to a plush version of itself if he got angry.
Now, this might not be a problem if you're trying to slaughter some monsters that have been raiding the village, killing a couple of the children there in the past month.
But if you're trying to fill the dinner pot, get a good hide, or heck, just keep the fighting thing honorable, this is going to get very frustrating.
I mean, imagine you're a Klingon with noble ideas of honor (the good kind of Klingon, like Worf, and not the dishonorable sort of Klingon, like Lursa), and having your opponent turn into something harmless!
Now, if anyone wants to use this in a story or a tabletop RPG, I would love for you to do so! I'd just like to find out what happened in your tale!
