Alive?
Hello LJ, long time no see.
It feels like I have neglected to write to a favourite aunt for a few months, only in these few months nothing has happened and yet everything. I don't really know where to begin to fill anyone in on what has been going on in my life. The last few months there have been some fantastically amazing times and some quite low times too, but such is life.
Work is still going amazingly well. I had my appraisal last week and it went really well. My boss has told me that as soon as there is an opening he would 'really strongly suggest I apply'. So I was really pleased with it. He said everyone he has spoken to about me have been said really positive things and that my degree has made me more than qualified for the job. Infact, when corrections come up to some of the simpler titles he asked if I would mind doing the corrections in indesign. Which is an amazing honour as no one else in production has done this before, so it shows he trusts my ability. It's also a great thing to have on my cv if I want to move sideways into design.
I had an amazing day out in london on the 16th with a friend for my birthday. She bought me tickets to see 'The Sound of Music' and treated me to dinner. We also went to the imperial war museum and we're going to try and go back soon because there was so much to do we couldn't fit it in. We only managed to do two floors of the 5 or 6 in 3-4 hours!
So tell me friends, how are you?
Never fear although I might not be making regular updates, I do try and make regular scans of my flist incase anything major happens.
