When he kisses her, he isn't stupid he knows she doesn't love him. As his hand travels to her neck he tries to push the thought to the back of his mind. He knows that this isn't about lust (for her anyway) because he's not so stupid he doesn't recognise pity when he see's it. He accepts it for what it is though and fools himself that maybe pity will change to something else, something less insulting. But for now he is content.
All the time in the world - Hiro/Charlie
He worries that him and Charlie will never have enough time, that whatever he does they are doomed. She wipes her hands on her apron and he wants nothing more than to just save her. He feels as if time is slipping through his fingers, that each movement could be the last. But he should know more than anybody that they have all the time in the world, that this moment could last forever, that glance could last a lifetime. But Hiro is so determined to save the world he misses the opportunity that could mean his eternal happiness.
