Dude, rustiness and having never written them before be damned - this was fabulous!!! Thank you so much for writing it. You expressed the bitterness tainting their reletionship at that time so well. I love it this to bits. I especially loved this line:

His fingers dig hard into her shoulder and were she someone else bruises would mark his fingers on her skin. But she doesn't feel his touch all she can feel is the betrayal.

Okay, those two lines, but seriously - wonderful. THANK YOU. You're fabulous.

Broken PromisesWhen she was younger she had begun to feel that their whole relationship was built on broken promises and betrayal. He had promised to protect them yet he had hurt her mom in ways that made her heart weep. As months passed and situations changed, she began to realise that however misguided, his deed were done with the best intentions; he wanted nothing more to keep his promises. Afterall, his promise to love them forever had never once been broken and at the end of the day she realised, that was all that really mattered

Dude, wow. I loved "Broken Promises". I love the way you portrayed their reletionship, and how it just breaks to move onto another level. Wow, that was really really well done. ♥ Five gold stars dude. ;)

And "Roadtrips" was seriously perfect. There was so many brilliant lines in there. Such as:

the last thing she wanted was to share her new baby brother with Sandra's elderly mother - heeee

At ten she had exhibited the power of annoyance - more heeee. ♥

squabbles with the brother she no longer wanted to kiss and talk about - and more heee. ♥ ♥

He had wondered where all the years had gone. awww. so bittersweet.

Now here he was on the final roadtrip they might ever take and he realised just how much he would miss them and how much he would miss her. :( Ouch. I love this.

Seriously, you write Claire/HRG so well. I love these drabbles and I hope you write more of this pairing in the future. :D

Yay! Thank you! I'm so relieved and glad you liked them. I loved that Roadtrips prompt I could totally have ran with that forever but kept thinking this is not meant to be a mammoth fic. Had plans for Claire to moan at HRG over his driving but thought would leave it where it was.

I totally love them, I really want to write them more and this has given me some great ideas and a bit more confidence to do it, so thanks you lots for the amazing prompts.
