Apocalypses New Horseman Death & Other stuff

Went to the comic shop yesterday and was quite pleased with the fact i managed to get hold of Excalibur #3 in which Pete Wisdom calls Captain Britain a tosser. Other than this pearl of Wisdom (i crack me up...not) i found the issue a little on the bland side. However, once Ed Brubaker (of X-men: Deadly Genesis fame) starts to write Uncanny i hope that we will get a higher class Excalibur and a better Uncanny.

Last bit of X-goodness concerns the upcoming Apocalypse re-emergance in which we discover the new horsemen. We all know that Sunfire has been revealed as one but the second one might prove a bit of a shocker.

The horseman Death is to be Gambit. To be honest i'm not that impressed with that not being a bit Gambit fan myself i can think of some far more interesting candidates. Gambit has never been a clean cut hero (much like Wolverine) and in my opinion that does not an interesting horseman make. I think the reason Archangel worked so well is because it was totally unexpected and he always toed the line on the side of the heroes. To then see him trying to overcome the new found 'killer instinct' and try and rebuild his once perfect life proved great character development. All Gambits stint of death will prove is to be another shady incident to haunt an already haunted past.

What do you guys think?
