so i am officially the worst driver ever- don't ever loan me your car.
my car is badly damaged, they said it is 50/50 whether it is totaled. i should find out today.
i hit another car on the freeway, it was slowing down/stopping and i just didn't see it in time. the other car (an suv) was ok, it was able to drive away. my car, not so much. my neck hurt so we went to the ER to get it checked out, just a sprain. they gave me drugs, which i am now off of and feeling fine.
my car insurance will cover medical and the deductible for collision is $500. so it is almost better if the car is totaled. but i kinda like my car, so that would be sad.
saddest thing of all though- my doggie! she was in the passenger seat in her little bed and the whole bed flew forward and fell down by the passenger seat's feet. she didn't cry or anything but she was limping a little when i walked her so i'm feeling like the worst mommy ever. i mean, really, she's fine, she would have cried if she wasn't, and she normally limps on her back legs so a little limp on her front leg is not that odd i guess, maybe she was just acting up which she does actually do sometimes.
anyway, paul was totally my knight in shining armor through this whole thing. he picked me up on the freeway. he took me to the ER and waited with me til 1:30ish am. he drove me to work the next day, he's driven me anywhere i need to go. he's been telling me how well i've dealt with this whole crappy situation and reminding me that he loves me. which was kinda hard when i wasn't really loving myself immediately after the accident, but overall its been really nice. i'm so lucky to have him.
