ducks in a row

i haven't updated in a bit so i figured i would, but i can't really think of anything new to share.

paul and i are still doing great, still excited about moving, still waiting waiting for him to propose. he has assured me that he will, it is just a matter of "getting all his ducks in a row". i know in the long run it doesn't matter if he takes a few more weeks to figure out his plan, i am just feeling really impatient now. plus i want to be able to say i am moving because my fiance got a job, not just my bf, it sounds better.

still unsure about summer plans. paul may take a job in new jersey from july-aug 7th. the money and experience would be nice but he would be gone for 5 weeks and we wouldn't be able to take our road trip. i am kinda hoping he doesn't get/take the job because we were hoping to drive to atlanta via montana and that would be awesome. we just won't have time if he's in nj.

i've been looking at housing in atlanta. there are lots of good apartments and even houses for rent in our price range. i like the idea of getting a cute tiny house a couple miles from campus. it looks like i will be paying about half of what i'm paying now. of course i will be making less in atlanta because technicians do not have to be certified the way they do in cali. kinda a bummer, but oh well. oh, but there is a good thing, the ratios are better. in cali there is a law that there can only be 1 tech when there is 1 pharmacist, 3 techs with 2 pharmacists. this is a problem we deal with a lot at work because we really need 2 techs with 1 pharmacist in order to easily unit dose medications for nursing homes. anyway, in georgia there can be 2 techs per pharmacist, 3 if one is nationally certified, which i am. so basically a pharmacy that already has 2 techs can hire me on without worrying about that law.
