Tapping the knowledge of the hive-mind here:
Wanted: a cabin to rent for a weekend, preferably on a lake, where canoes, swimmers, and puppies would be welcome. For four adults and a house-trained dog, we'll bring our own canoe. Needn't be luxurious, we're looking for 'better than a tent' and not afraid of 'primitive' facilities, oh and we are cheap. Should be driving distance from Bainbridge Island. Wanted for a long weekend in late July or early August (probably).
Mom is anti-San Juan islands 'cause she thinks the ferries would be too much hassle (I know, ironic), and something on the Olympic Peninsula would be grand, but I have heard that dogs are not allowed in the National Forest and Park.
Please let me know if you know of any leads in this direction!
