Thing that should've been obvious
So we had our UW law school public service externship fair yesterday at lunch (hello from law school, btw), and while schmoozing and picking up business cards, I learned that when you make your "one phone call," it's taped. And the prosecutor will sit and listen to it later. Good to know.
Also, apparently the Texas Supreme Court lets people withdraw All The Ground Water In The World.*
(*Yeah, that case was a little old, but I hear there's one from 2012 that has advanced less than one might hope.)
I am extremely happy here. Law school is pretty much the best.**
(**Well, except for my kid, of course -- according to all objective measures in the universe, she is the most adorable, well-adjusted, gifted child on Earth, and hence she is categorically The Best***, and those who think otherwise are welcome to take their opinions elsewhere.)
(***With the exception of the times she is screaming because she doesn't like the brand of apple sauce I served. Those times are not The Best, but I would argue that she is still gifted in the art of tantrum.)
