damn you Katrina
yesterday i wrote a long entry and when i went to post it, it got deleted. it was just my ramblings about Laguna Beach and Gilmore Girls, and about my plans for the weekend. which, i might add, have been partially ruined by Hurricane Katrina. the plan was as follows: tonight, a movie and then a football game with sean. saturday, another movie and then a bbq in honor of my departure (and apparently in honor of sean as well). then sunday, drive down to florida with sean to spend the night and perhaps see another movie.
but alas, hurricane Katrina and all her wrath has come to destroy my plans ON MY LAST WEEKEND HERE. hopefully sean can still make it up to alabama tonight, but he'll have to leave tomorrow morning or sunday morning. BECAUSE...the hurricane is supposed to hit the florida panhandle (and lower alabama) monday morning. the naval base in panama city beach (where sean is) has to completely evacuate this weekend. sean and the rest of the dive school students have to work at a shelter. so i can't go back to florida with him. *sigh* it's good that sean gets to help out but i can't help but feel a little selfish. it's also a little scary that he's going to be down there during the hurricane. i don't know if any of you have been watching the news, but Katrina is tearing shit up. damn those navy guys that won't let him come up here and be with me where he'll be safe. i'll be gone in a week and then no more sean for two months. cold turkey.
i am thankful though that we were lucky enough to get to spend time together over the summer. things worked out good in that way. i just hate the suspension. we're so close to having what we want but we can't stop working for it yet.
