still working, waiting for the next furlough notice
Nice to still have a job. I really hope Congress does their job this week and passes a budget, so that we don't go through this again this Friday. I wonder how much money we wasted getting ready to be furloughed? Can we get a refund - preferably out of congressional paychecks?
Just a historical reminder: When the fiscal year started in July, the budget had to be complete before Congress went on summer vacations. Somehow, it always got done. Now that they go on vacation and come back to vote, there's no incentive.
