Movin' on up- er, down... but to the east side!

So here is the plan.

In a little under a month's time (I estimate between the 15th and 20th of October) I will be moving from CT down to Kissimmee, Florida. My roommate Ben (Weaselgrease if you prefer) and I have been talking about this for some time. He's a bit tired of the snow and the high cost of living in CT. We both want to be closer to a warm climate, and I personally adore Disney World.

Couple this with the fact that I have a significant other, who will also be joining us, and I'm very psyched about the change. With that, of course, comes the stressful side of prepping to move across the country. Most likely I'll be driving down and sending some of our most crucial belongings down in a POD (tm).

I'm in the process of looking at apartments and/or homes for rent. I've got three nice places lined up. Not sure how it works when you move like that. You're cut off from your usual job income. Multiple co-signers and good credit help, I'm sure. But I'm not sure how well 'I'll be looking for a job' flies in this economy. Then again, with all the empty places and the need to fill them, that's a factor as well.

My aim is to be in the northwest section of Kissimmee, more toward Celebration/WDW. There are some really nice places.

So trying to get ducks in a row for that. Wish me luck!
