Well..... it's been a while since I've written, because there's never any time between work, projects on the house, Ethan's baseball practice or games.... never ending! Madison's birthday was April 15th and she's now 8 years old.... man I miss her so much! I hate not getting to be there with her on important days like her birthday, or really knowing what's going on in her life. I just don't want her to end up like the bitch her mother is. The phone call every Sunday just doesn't give me enough time to spend with her... over the phone it's just "How's school?" - "Fine"... "Anything new going on that I need to know about? New friends? Do anything fun this past week?" then I get a round of yes and no's. At least I have brought her up to say yes sir and no sir.
Life at home is ok.... I love Stefanie to death and love Ethan as well... just hard because I do get left out of the loop sometimes. We did make it through our first year with flying colors, and hope it continues that way... there are just times that are hard with disciplining Ethan because he and Stefanie lived alone together for a while so he's not used to my rules and having a male influence in the house. Times are changing.... I do seem to get on to him a lot, but hopefully in the long run he'll understand why I did what I did. He's a great kid... very smart and VERY artistic, just a 13 year old boy who wants to wear all black and be defiant right now.
I feel REAL bad for missing Mike's show last weekend... It was a choice of Mike's art show or Ethan's baseball game and I had to be a good father figure and go to the game instead. I hope Mike understands, and knows how bad I wanted to go and support him!
I miss the whole gang... living closer in Grand Prairie I could still get out with yall occasionally, but being out here in Keller it seems harder to get together. I do plan on having some sort of party this summer with all of you and Stef's friends as well. And you are ALWAYS welcome at my place anytime! Don't ever lose touch!
OK... back to work. Kinda hard when they are setting up beer and margarita stands right outside your window for Southlake's Art In The Square. I'm gettin' kinda thirsty.... heh heh...
Later.
