Okay people the New Year is almost here and it sure did come fast this year.
Christmas came and went in a blur. My Christmas was great. My parents and little sister came to spend the night. Mallory and Tara both came over on Christmas Eve to hang out with us. Christmas morning was perfect. We had to finally wake up Miss Madelynne around 8:30 so she could see what all Santa brought her. She was really good this year so Santa was really good to her. J
While Madelynne was waking up and checking out what all Santa brought her, Liberty and I passed out everyone’s gifts. Once everyone had their gifts we started opening them. I think everyone got what they wanted. For me it was just seeing the look of excitement on Madelynne’s face. She is such an appreciative child. Most kids unwrap their gifts and toss them aside to move on to the next one. Madelynne takes her time and checks out everything and what it does. It took her almost an hour to open all of her gifts. Once the gifts were opened I headed into the kitchen to whip up some French toast and eggs. Everyone got their fill on breakfast and Virgil started our turkey. We just hung out around the house and played with Madelynne and her new goodies. Virgil cooked most of our Christmas dinner. I got some really cute pictures of him and Madelynne cooking the dressing. We put an apron and chef hat on him. He is such a wonderful cook and I thought the little getup fit him. Before long Mallory was there and so were Tara and David. We all ate and just hung out. It was a great Christmas and one that I will remember.
Yesterday was just a lazy day! We just laid around and watched movies and played. In the late afternoon Virgil, Jr. brought his girlfriend Cameron over and hung out with us a little bit. Madelynne had someone new to entertain for an hour and she loved it. She danced and sang for them and she even had them playing tea with her.
I have to run for now. I hope that everyone had a beautiful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with your loved ones.
Have a Beautiful Day,
