TV post I've been meaning to do
New shows:
We lasted through one ep of Charlie's Angels. I think it's been cancelled, right? It was awful.
We finally watched the pilot ep of Terra Nova. I mean, like yesterday. It wasn't the worst I've ever seen, and Stephen Lang seems to be reigning in his Shatnerish impulses, so far. Not the biggest Jason O'Mara fan, and he keeps reminding me of a young Aiden Quinn. Which is not a bad thing. We'll give it a few more eps.
Grimm: We've also seen one ep of it, and while we're not committed to it(I don't like the lead guy very much), I do like the Silas Weir Mitchell character. We'll check out another ep of it, too.
I'm watching Prime Suspect, but I don't expect it to last. There's something off about it. I wouldn't miss it, but I wish Kirk Acevedo could find another role as good as he had in Oz. And I can't believe Kenny Johnson nearly gave up Sons of Anarchy for this.
I'm really liking Once Upon a Time. But again, I don't like the lead. I just don't care much about Emma yet. Love Lana Parilla as the evil queen, she's perfect. So is Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr Gold, who is my favorite character so far.
American Horror Story is another favorite. Definitely my second favorite new show. A lot of people get a Twin Peaks vibe from it. I get more of an American Gothic vibe, which is very good indeed.
My favorite is Hell on Wheels and I've only seen two eps. Once a week is not enough! I think Anson Mount has finally found his niche. Really liking his character, and Lily as well - - that chick has balls!
Couldn't get into Person of Interest. I tried.
Still loving SoA. No spoilers, but Clay... how could you?
I'm finally getting into Boardwalk Empire - - I've seen a couple of eps so far.
I'm sad that Alex Albrecht and Kevin Rose are ending Diggnation at the end of the year. Where will I see Hippie Glenn now?
My guilty pleasure remain Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, Fact or Faked, and Billy the Exterminator.
I've been sitting here typing this on J's laptop, watching the first few Keller eps of Oz. it's been a while. That is good shit!
