My day
We had another fucked up day at work. It started off innocently enough, although I did something stupid. We were having our Temu huddle(no Billie, no Mabell), and me and Brennan were supposed to do dairy, while I think Micheal and Gregory were supposed to do frozen. Then Gregory said he would stay in the backroom, and would keep Micheal with him, and Chase could do frozen. So my dumb ass said I would do dairy alone and Brenna could go to frozen with Chase and one of them would come help me if I needed them.
So, we did a little topstock, then at 8, Helena texted and said for us to vizpick GM and consumables, but not take anything from the bins, to only actually pull picks from dairy and frozen. And we needed to work all the "old" grocery freight.
In the middle of all this, I got called to personnel to do my AES survey. It took me a while because of the comment section. It so happened Nate was there talking to Mendy. He was calling anyone on ON not scheduled to see if they could work, because he never has enough people and Nick will not do anything to help him. Mendy is pissed, too.
Anyway, after break, I went to dairy. There were a ton of picks. Everything ON put in the bin picked, because no one verifies overstock or changes counts or shelf caps. A lot of stuff Chase binned yesterday(they asked him to bin pallets of "overstock") also picked. I picked a cart of freight, worked it, picked another, worked it. Brennan came by at 11 and said frozen wasn't bad, when he came back from lunch, he would help stock dairy. I finally finished picking around 12. I had my cart and some stuff on another cart.
I came back... both carts unworked. Chase AND Brennan asked if I was done. I said no, I had my cart left to stock and the other one with the little bit of stuff. They went back to stocking grocery. This is the second time the boys have screwed me over with the dairy vizpicking.
Anyway, we basically worked freight all day. Our numbers are going to be awful. But at least Helena understands the situation now instead of thinking we're just crap. But until we get a store manager with some sense, nothing will change. You can show him the backroom overflowing with pallets, and he has no solution and won't let Mendy get a swarm team together to fix it.
