My day
Today was horrible. Of course, Helena was there. She had a list of topstock that needed to be redone, then almost immediately, everyone got pulled to do other stuff... zoning mostly.
After break, I went to ask Mabell who was doing dairy and frozen. She said Brennan was doing dairy and I could HELP him. Helena broke in and said Marryo could do frozen, since he hardly ever does it. In fact, he does it a lot and had in fact, done it yesterday. So, Mabell said Samara could go help him. I went to get started on dairy, but Jason was moving pallets and there was no room to get inside. Brennan and I worked a cart of leftover dairy picks from yesterday while we waited. Then, just as we got done with the cart, Brennan got pulled to do something else. I have no doubt it was Helena's doing. She hates for two people to do dairy or frozen, even though it's much faster and not nearly as hard on one person if we team up to do it. I picked the first two bins and worked the picks from them. I started on the next bin and got a full cart from it, and a huge cart from the other three bins. It took until 12pm to get it all picked. I was freezing, and my hands were aching. I went to lunch.
When I came back, most of the grocery bins, all of HBA and candy wasn't picked, so I did that. Brennan came back and started on the two carts in dairy, but kept coming to ask when I was going to come and help him finish them. I finally made it to last break at 2:30, after we got it all picked. Then I went to help Brennan, who, oh look, was only scheduled until 3, so I got to work most of the last cart.
There's more good news, too. Helena comes in early every day next week. I will not make it through the week.
