*I had to take Sam to the vet today*
Our baby girl is finally back home! They were super busy, so I ended up coming back home. Ms Kathy called me at 4:30 to come get her. I paid the bill and she said to sit down, Dr Padgett would talk to me in a few minutes. It turned out to be 45 minutes later. Me and two other people waited that long to get our pets. J got home from Douglas before I managed to get here.
If Dr Lewis had been there, he would have called me and told me what was wrong and what we were doing about it, and then I would've picked her up and come home. Dr Padgett is a perfectly competent vet, but I like Dr Lewis much better. This other guy who had waited almost as long as me were actually talking shit about him while we were waiting.
Anyway, just as I suspected, she is in heat and does have a uterine infection. We're getting her fixed next week. If we can ever get her back in a carrier. Dr Lewis had been concerned about her being fixed, since she had such a rough beginning and her being so underweight for her age. But since they've had to sedate her to do exams, and her leukemia is not advancing, her counts were good, they think she will be okay. I wonder if she'll gain weight like Squeaky did.
