Maddie sat alone in her dormitory, typing away on her keyboard. She looked up at the clock and shut her laptop with a snap. She stood up quickly and made her way to the door.
Maddie hurried down the staircase, hoping that she'd find a lively common room. When she reaced the last step, she stopped moving, scanning the room for a friendly face.
