Christmas Cookie plans
I couldn't sleep so I started thinking about cookies, and now I can't sleep because I'm craving cookies. THIS IS A VICIOUS CIRCLE.
For those of you new to this establishment, my family consists of a bunch of anti-materialistic weirdos, so every Christmas I go a little insane in the head baking for them.
Definitely:
Russian Tea Cakes
Coffee Chocolate Chip Shortbread
Spoon Cookies
Cardamom Butter Squares
Chocolate Chip Orange Oatmeal Cookies
Old Maybes:
Peanut Butter Cookies
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
Rye Cakes (I really like them, but they're a lot of work)
Brittle Sugar Biscuits (ditto, except it's more that they're fiddly and, well, brittle)
New Possibles:
Earl Grey Shortbread
Chocolate Hazelnut Crinkle Cookies
Angel Whispers (not sure how well they'd keep?)
Pebbernodder (too much like the other cardamom cookie?)
Paradise Macaroons
