i'd like to thank the academy

well, i just finished watching the 76th Annual Academy Awards, the Oscars, if you will. i must say i was very, VERY pleased. i watched them from beginning to end, making sure not to miss one tear, or laugh. last year, i caught a bit of the Oscars, but i must say i have not always been this avid about award shows (i watched the globes, sag, and now this). i must thank dave for this. i dont watch a lot of movies. i rarely to go the theater, and i'm not much of a renter. well, let's just say this was all a thing of the past. i love movies. i read into movies. i don't care for "dumb" movies anymore. i want things that are gritty, inovative, that teach me to think, feel, learn. i watched all these people receive their awards for the beautiful art that they made (overpaid, but beautiful nonetheless). i have been lucky to see a couple of the nominated movies, and i am dying to see the rest (and i have been for some time now). but i must attribute my newfound love for all things movie and cinema to Daverino. although at first i didn't care, thanks to him i have seen many great films, and learned many wonderful things. i love to learn, and i love knowledge and experience. most of all, i love art. music, film, lit, art. we should all watch more film- and i mean good, meaningful films- with open minds. you might not like it all, but everything has something to offer. and now i'm rambling.... la dee da...
