My friends, you are being lied to, again.
Once upon a time in a land close to home a "trance DJ" handed out her "Farewell to Trance" CD and announced she was turning to Happy Hardcore... Soon thereafter we learned that not only was this mix stolen, but she was also posting some artwork that belonged to someone else as well. We cried out and she backed down claiming to have seen the error of her ways. Well, we have been deceived again.
The DJ SKYE you all know and love is not who she claims to be. She is a FAKE and a LIAR. DJ SKYE is nothing more than a DJ for Cheddarcore. Sure she'll tell you she's a PROMOTER, and that she puts in countless hours and contributes large sums of money to throw their events, but don't be fooled. She DOES NOT put in money. She DOES NOT help plan. She barely even helps to promote or set up. She will even go so far as to say NO to a specific request for her assistance.
She is just a DJ who plays records and abuses her "promoter" status to jump around on stage in front of INTERNATIONAL headliners instead of working the party. She even has the audacity to take credit for these events that she plays no part in the planning of. MARK is the SOLE investor and owner of Cheddarcore Productions. He started Cheddarcore three years ago and has worked tirelessly to keep Hardcore alive in Arizona under this name.
DJ SKYE also claims to be affiliated with Evolution Records DJ Crew. Wrong. Before Kandieland 2, she sweet-talked her way into being their BOOKING AGENT out here, but I ask you, how many of their bookings can she claim responsibility for? ZERO
By this time many of you may have heard of this mysterious DJ who PAYS to play... Guess who? That's right folks, DJ SKYE. True, she has never actually handed money directly to the promoter, but she is involved with paying for another headliner to come out, under the stipulation that she share the headlining spot with him.
And yet, why are we being lied to YEAR after YEAR? We are RAVERS. We are known for acceptance. Raves are a place where all those
NOT accepted in the "real" world, can come and be accepted. You dont have to worry about what brand of clothing you wear, how you do your hair, what kind of car you drive or where you live. Its a place to BE YOURSELF. Why she feels the need to continuously lie to people that would be ACCEPTING of her, no matter what, is beyond me.
Then again.. it is easy to go to boards all over the place and pretend to be more than you actually are. Skye, why on earth do you continue doing this to our scene? No more sob stories, we've heard them all before. Own up to what you have done, and give credit where credit is due.
