I went to see my new flat today, to meet up with my proposed plumber and my handy man. That done, I took some photos of the place "pre-op" as t'were:

Getting rid of bizarre light-fittings was the first thing we had to do when we bought this house too...

The vendor asked me if I minded her taking her chandeliers with her! I was polite...! She replaced them all with simple pendant fittings, so I can just sling some shades on or replace easily when I find something I really want.

I am so remarkably chuffed at having got it! When I went there on Saturday to meet up with Da Boyz, the flat felt comfy and extraordinarily welcoming. It felt just like coming home feels...
