Last night was great. I hooked up with the captain at about 6 pm and we headed over to rami jaffee of The wallflowers house. About 2 months earlier when we were writing the album I really wanted to have some b3 Hammond organ running through a few of the tracks. So captain tells me he knows this guy rami who is in the wallflowers, which i think are a great band, and he could probably get him to do it. I thought that would be great but was skeptical if it would happen, well last night proved me wrong and more. We got to rami's house at about 8, got introduced and jumped right into rocking. The organ really adds something to our music, maybe we will be getting a full time key player, who knows? Besides the great music we made, there were some great conversations had and stories told. He told me of the first time he met Springsteen and how by the end of the day he had eaten lunch at springsteen's house with sting, drank tequila with both of them at 10 am in the morning and Ended up jamming ten tunes out of the wallflower's set in jersey that night with springsteen aboard. Ah the glory... I thought the best part of last night came when I noticed this thing that looks like a grammy on top of his organ, but it was to dusty i thought. So I ask him what's that and he says Oh that, thats my grammy, i think its broke though and he starts unscrewing the top of it. Captain asks him, shouldn't that be in a glass case or something and rami replies yeah whatever. I thought that was great because if you think about it most musicians get caught up in the glamour and awards of it all, but all it's really about is rock and roll. Talk soon!
