Summer.
As always my time is occupied quickly.
I’m not sure how much of what I’ve done can be construed to be directly productive.
Indirectly, certainly.
I am happy. Vancouver is good for that.
If nothing else I can just listen to good acid techno and dance in my socially designated space with a smile upon my face.
Much of my time is spent shirking social obligations. The time earnt is then spent with family or loved ones.
I have recently begun to indulge further in my love of tending plants. My cacti are flowering nicely. Those whom I have spoken to recently, and are aware of my obsession, will be aware I intend to grow gunnera. This will be satisfying.
No patience for acquaintances. [though fun is still a result]
Swimming is good. I’ve never swum in London. I’ve been swimming more in the past week then in the past eight months (maybe more).
Absurdity is good. It’s a wealthy mine for fun.
I find one tends to operate in one of two realms at any given time.
The first is active. This is when you are dynamically engaged with your surroundings - such as playing sports or an organic instrument. Though it may not be instantly recognisable, this is when your mind and body work in harmony.
The second realm is passive. This is when the body acts on habit, instinct, “auto-pilot”. The mind is then free to wander within its’ indulgences. This is what occurs when one is walking and thinking of other things.
I spend the vast majority of my time in the passive realm. I wish to make an attempt to reverse this. I am an excellent thinker, but acting is where the action is.
When I dance (and to those who have seen me dance), it is when my body is assimilated into my brain; a mirror of the active instance, my limbs contort to the music.
