Hi, How are you?
__
I watched the first in a series of three films yesterday. They were created by Krzysztof Kieslowski, who apparently had a very good television series (I think only aired in Poland) called Dekalog in the early nineties. Stanley Krubick said of it, “the only true masterpiece I can think of in our time”.
The film I saw yesterday was titled Bleu, the second two being Blanc and Rouge. It was outstanding as a piece of art (quite possibly the best I’ve seen), but as a film I felt the plot moved a bit too slow. Yet, I will wait until I finish the three to make my judgement.
I’m on the tube right now, and just started paying attention to where I am. There’s a lady standing to my left, speaking in such a voice that over the noise-floor I can only hear her sibilance. She wants money. She has a cup to facilitate this. As she passes I look up to see that she’s an ‘ageing hippy’. I’m at Moorgate, which is wrong; it’s Saturday and all throughout the tube there are notices say how the tube is closed on this branch. Maybe some really cool Neverwhere thing will happen that’ll put even more into perspective how unimportant my schoolwork is.
I might go check out this exhibition at the Hayward Gallery. It’s done by this guy who made plaster models of himself in suicidal positions and placed them on the tops of buildings all around London. For this he’s fills a glass box entirely with dense fog. Apparently you can’t see anything and it’s really disorientating.
I look at my computer and see three cables plugged in: energy, information and communication.
