That movie doesn't go with that meal. I think it gave me a stomach ache

"Absent in body, but present in spirit."
- Bible, 1 Corinthians v. 3
This week's dinner and a movie turned out to be a drag.

I went to see "I am No. 4." I struggled through watching it, fighting my impulse to walk out. Musical interludes interjected randomly interrupting terrible acting, a cheesy and cliche plotline (filled with plotholes) and a strange filming technique that took advantage of going blurry and then back into focus. Maybe the only good part of the movie was Timothy Olyphant, playing Henry (how gay is spelling Henry with an "I"). His acting was ok, plus he was nice to look at.

So after sitting throughout the entire movie, it all made since in the end, apparently it was directed by Michael Bay. Woops! But it all makes since now.

So after one disappointment....

I decided to try out this place called Fish and Chips. I thought it might be interesting to try a southern  version of an English "dish." On the plus side, the fish was crispier. It wasn't as soggy as I remember and stood up slightly better over the span of a couple minutes.  But, unfortunately, it was bland and served with crinkle fries (also bland) and some sort of deep fried roll that resembled a beignet only thicker like a biscuit (also bland). Plastic condiment bottles filled with vinegar were on the tables along with the ketchup. I still don't understand what it does for the fish. I tried it. And then I got some tartar sauce.
