Simple times
I've had two job interviews so far, and now I'm just waiting to hear back for second interviews. I still haven't heard back from any of the service industry, customer service type positions I applied to when we first arrived.
I went to a meetup group gathering the other day. It was a group of Coffee Lovers. I was hoping for a good mix of people, but only two other people showed up. I think a couple others showed up, but didn't recognize anyone so left. Even the organizer of the group didn't show up. It was all older people anyway, grandparents and such. I didn't think it was too bad. The coffee shop was in a nice part of Vancouver that looked a whole lot like downtown Covington or downtown Hammond. It wasn't very busy. Not a lot of people are out and about Saturday morning I guess. Actually, I do know where they all were. There was a big farmer's market on the other side of downtown. We went over there to check it out, but couldn't find convenient parking. Maybe next time.
I'm watching all of Babylon 5 right now. We're in the third season. The first season was a nice quirky introduction to characters. The second season was darker with a bit of plot setup and intentions of impending doom. Now the third season is pretty humorless as characters fall in and out of wanting to kill each other. It can be rough, and the show has been giving me weird dreams.
