We finally booked into our hostel in Portland today after leaving almost exactly a week ago. "I saw a bison cross in front of a car. That's a lot more intimidating than a family of ducks."

There is a park in Kentucky with them around. Very intimidating.

I am envious of you taking such a long journey through America. It sounds grand.

Good luck.

Weary? Were you also Dreary and Leary?

I've been watching Wild America for days, so I have probably seen more bison than you at this point.

Also, the parents of a work friend of mine were in Yellowstone the last few days, too, so really it is just as if I have been there.

...

Ok, not really, but I am so upset about not being able to make that drive with you that I will make up anything to say that things here have been just as interesting.

And Rita peed on the floor the other day: that is what animals do. So yeah, added with all the bullshit that is in the comment makes me realize that I have been there more than you have. So, sorry, but I won't be sending any pictures to you. :)

Well I'm jealous. Rita peed on the floor. Too bad I couldn't have been there to watch you clean that up... :P

Thank you for posting. It's wonderful to hear all of the little details of the trip up there. I wasn't expecting to read about snow, I guess because it's still in the 90s here.

"Many visitors have been gored by buffalo."
This made me laugh out loud.

So when do you get to move into the apartment? Will you be staying at the hostel until October?

Keep posting! :)
