ThursArt: Donde?

So...*opens a tab to check a date* Uh-huh. So apparently the last time I posted anything was...almost three months ago. Heh...oops? I am alive, clearly, but my life consists largely of a lot of the same ol' same ol' now and it's not terribly interesting. Also, my motherboard died about two months ago.

Yeah, you heard that right. 2 power cord failures, 2 hard drive failures, windows XP problems, bad RAM, bad power supply, dead CPU fan...and now my motherboard is dead. I love computers. Clearly, they share that love with me...

So, two months later, I have a new computer. 2.8 GHz Pentium 4, 3 GHz DDR RAM, and 512 MB video card to 3GHz Quadcore, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 1GB SLI Videocard. Also, new Razer keyboard and mouse. If that doesn't mean anything to you...well...it's an improvement on a big scale. If you (ha!) play World of Warcraft, know that I can use the Ultra graphics settings and not lag in Dalaran. Seriously, that's a big deal.

Can't get my RAID drives to work, though. So I've only got one hard drive and 80GB fills up fast. Spent a few hours 'trimming the fat' off my pictures folder, including going through a LOT of old art. Old, old art. Some of which has been permanently moved to the big recycle bin in the sky, never to be seen again. Boy, I sure was prolific, but UGH. Some of it was a level of bad that should never have been let lose on a a hard drive.

My roommate Kassia and I have been playing Spirit of the Century and just finished out first scenario/story. I have table topped! And I'm still playing a dude, haha. Ah well. It is a camp, pulp awesome game. When it's possible to stick lit dynamite in enemy eye socket of your enemy's helmet and yell "It's a birthday cake!" things are good.

Kassia and I are big character people, though. We're still occasionally upset that the Serenity MUSH turned out to be a bad place because we worked out such good characters to play off one another. And she's been helping my work out character issues with my comic, so we talk character issues a lot. Deep discussion of characters and motivations and all that. It's a terrible and wonderful thing. Especially since we like to break characters too...ahem.

We had a discussion recently about characters arguing, trying to figure out what one of the other would have to do to piss off the other. I used Tat and Kez as an example of some bad fights. I said that they has some EPIC arguments because they knew where each others buttons were and would go for them in a fight. She stared at me a moment and said, "Wow. They didn't have a healthy relationship, did they?" I laughed so hard and told her it was complicated.

Well, I declare myself still alive! I'm going to watch Jeopardy, Bones and Fringe now...And since it IS Thursday I leave you with art!
