Returns.
It has been a while now since I have kept a diary, you may remember under the pseudonym of sn0rkmaiden a personality I can safely let go of as I have come of age and have new things to blog about. Before it was dominated purely by interest in Japanese lolita fashion and occasionally some of the grey clouds that hung over my personal life. Luckily for me the weather has changed and I feel like I am working towards a bright future.
So what has changed?
1. I have finally given up lolita fashion, it really hurt me at first to do so, however as a replacement I have become an eclectic mix of gothic, vintage and I am following/experimenting with Japanese street fashion. All of those who previously followed me as lolita must wonder how I can feel satisfied when I am not wearing £300 of clothes and don't have the excitement in my life of pre-ordering my garments etc? Well my response to that would be I do miss the feeling, I also feel like a bit of my identity has been chipped away, however it's really not impossible to make yourself just as outstanding by clever purchases and a 'layering' expertise. I will provide a few choice pictures under a cut in my next post and explain my inspirations and eventually a picture post!
2. I finally gave up hair dressing, tried to get into funeral directing but circumstances were against me and I am now on an access course for Social work.
3. I live in a flat above my Dad's salon with my Boyfriend Oscar and my kitten Jynx. Both of whom I love very much! We are a happy little household although we are always struggling for money :-/ but as a student and graduate I think this is a realistic circumstance, I can't help dreaming about the future though!
4. I have a passion for/ involved with/ elitist about TECHNO. I feel that I shouldn't even talk about it as I am so notorious for arguing about it. I'll just say the techno I like is not the stereotypical misconception of the genre, it's bold, repetitive and feels better than any music ever could!
