I've not forgotten about my livejournal, there just hasn't been a lot of time lately. I had a blast in Mexico, what a beautiful part of the world we went to Quintan Roo, about two hours from Cancun, and half hour from Play del Carmen. We swam in the ocean - along with all sorts of wonderful fish and I did see a sting ray -- a large scary sting ray. All I could think of was Steve Irwin. Salt water is really- really salty, more than one would realize. The girls had a blast, I'm really glad we went with them. They allowed us to act like children as well. Both my husband and myself enjoyed acting like children! The only problem with the holidays were - I love history, my husband hates 'old rocks' as he calls it. The only 'old rocks' that I managed to visit was Tulum. I would have loved to see Chichen Itza.
After our wonderful trip to Mexico, we had the North American flooring show in Las Vegas, again both hubby and I had a blast. It's changed a lot since the last time we were there, the flight home great, we followed the moutain range all the way home (well to Edmonton) then we had to fly back to the prairies. I can honestly tell you there is no place like home. Although the weather here has been horrid...simply horrid.
My ankle is still letting me know who the boss is -- along with the pain in that leg, my foot on the other leg has as a heel spur. If there was ever the annoying pain - that's it. It's a constant throbing, followed every so often by a sharp stabbing pain...Oh well, could always be worse!
