First thing I wanna say is DAVID FUCKING MORRISSEY YES (in Mister Master clothes, no less! FURTHER YES AND YUMMMMMM). They HAVE to make this be the first musical Doctor Who episode ever...the circumstances have never been this PERFECT! COME ON RUSTY DOOOO IIIIT. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.
Ok, um, final eppy list o' thoughts:
- K-9 should seriously be in this franchise. I know he's like the ultimate Deus Ex Machina, but there has to be a way to work around that. It's retarded to only have him show up during final episodes for half a second when he obviously pwns so hard.
- JACKIE/MICKEY IS SO UTTERLY CANON AND IT AMUSES THE FUCK OUT OF ME.
- DONNA/DOCTOR IS NOT ONLY CANON, BUT AN ACTUAL ENTITY. LOLARIOUS.
- This was the big old running and jumping, hyper-cracky finale we've come to know and expect from Rusty, but I have to say, he didn't spaz out on the script as much as I expected. It was almost...restrained compared to LotTL. Three Doctors and a Kangaroo, I'd call it.
- Donna pushing Sarah Jane roughly aside to get to Jack and shove her boobs against him = best moment in the episode. Also, his pleased reaction to this.
- I don't mind Martha/Jack/Mickey at ALL. Bring it on, I say.
- Gwen's face and general reaction to the Doctor and Rose smiling at her goofily because of her obvious relation to a certain Welsh maid = second best moment in the episode.
- Guy playing Davros (whose name I WILL learn) is awesome. God, that laugh, those stained dentures, those tonsils glistening in the firelight. Davros was totally being kept in a Dalek nursing home with only Crazy Caan for company. I bet he smelled like old people farts and tapioca pudding.
- Donna's Not!Death...well, okay, so Rusty thought, "How can I do something to Donna which ISN'T killing her, but is pretty much just as bad or worse?" This is a good answer to that conundrum. While I agree it sucks a lot, if I had to choose between an actually dead Donna or a cruelly mind-wiped one, I'd go with the latter. At least that leaves a LITTLE bit of hope of a return, and she's got a future ahead of her. I've never seen her looking more beautiful or having as much of a good time as in this ep, and that made it all the more tragic. But I'm so happy she's still around.
- Hilarious meta moment when Halfy!Doctor commented on the blue suit not being so bad. I'm sure many people are eternally grateful that he took it with him.
- Speaking of Halfy, nice way to give your OTP the happy ending you were so determined to give it while allowing for the Doctor to move the fuck on already, Rusty. He WILL stfu up about Rose now, right?
- Ending: Doctor, staring at the Tardis console and singing to himself, "Alone Again (Naturally)". The more things change, the more they stay the same. :P
- I definitely needed to be more careful in reading my friends list and looking at the comms. I would have had more fun watching this ep and had a lot more surprises if I hadn't been so spoiled. Must remember that for next year.
Note for the Grand Moff: MORE TIME LORDS, PLZ. SADFACE DOCTOR IS GETTING ON MY LAST NERVE.
