Hm. Holmes is set more in Melior, but he's dealt with a good few magic-related cases. It's very possible his work has brought him in contact with Yuuko. He'd be very willing to trade information with her. If nothing else, he has a contact or two who is also a contact of hers.
Yuuko has made quite a few travels in her time, and it's also possible that they've met as well. She is absolutely okay with exchanging information, but there is a price, as always. ;D
One Holmes is most willing to pay - the information she gives is invaluable! In truth, he is quite glad she has chosen now to board the Silvana...there is a small problem he could use her assistance with....
Indeed - it involves Mr. Aragaki's medication. He'll give you the specifics in-character, but it's not something he can handle on his own.
Hm. There's also the problem with Holmes' feelings on women....I'm willing to bet that if they've met at least once, he's been fully convinced of her power and wisdom, and knows that her life has been extended far beyond normalcy. She's not a woman so much as a mystical being - inhuman. Because no one gets the irrational-flighty-woman vibes from Yuuko - he'd be perceptive enough to realize he's in the presence of someone far more powerful than himself.
Yuuko is certainly capable of many things, and she's actually kind of pleased that he'd be able to realize that. Normally she has that powerful effect on people. He's not gonna be scared of her, is he? ;D
Certainly not. She has given him no reason to fear her, and she is incredibly rational for a woman. She does not seem the type to lose her temper. She has learned to manage her great power.
Actually, they have rather similar lines of work. Hers is magical, and much more powerful, but they both sit around and wait for customers to present a problem to them, that they solve for a fee. XD;; That occured to me, and I'm kind of tickled by it. XD
Yup. And then there's Holmes, whose fee is the same for everyone. I suppose he does balance out, though, because the problem provides him with mental stimulation and entertainment. That's usually relative to the difficulty of the problem. XD There are times when the person is unable to pay the fee, and if so, Holmes will waive it, and take the problem for free. The real payment is the fun he has solving the problem.
