Our trip to California included a lot of moments we could see God's intervention. The first happened in Phoenix where we changed planes. As we were waiting to be called Titus saw a red shirt with 2A on it, his college floor's logo. After wondering which 2Aer was there he realized it was his fiancee who had just gotten off the plane from Texas at the gate next to us. Chance encounter? Then there was no charge and he was able to fly stand-by on her flight so they could be together.
At the hotel the clerk kept typing into his keyboard and visiting the back room and I thought, "They lost our reservation." He looked up and said "Everything is okay. We just sold out all those rooms and I'm trying to upgrade you." They gave us a large honeymoon suite with a couch. Then Lydia, Titus's fiancee decided she did not want to stay at the apartment with four others so we offered the couch. Lo and behold it was a hide-a-bed,yes in the honeymoon suite. When I went to the desk to report we would have another guest, the clerk asked if we needed a roll-away. I told him, "No, we have a hide-away bed in the couch." His eyes got big and he declared that was not supposed to be there. So, no charge for Lydia. I just smiled.
Later when we were staying at Kings Canyon National Park we discovered our cheap non-electric room really did have electricity and a heater - it got down in the low 40s so Don was happy for it. It was the same price the non-electric was to be. God provides.
Many other things happened and I was so happy to feel His presence there.
Gerry was right the about the people of Orange County, except the tourists at Dana Point. They were much friendlier and polite that here in Central Florida. The other parts of California we visited, not so. Orange County is good.
