I find that most of the girls' names I like are old-fashioned, extravagant, multisyllabic affairs: Genevieve, Colette, Vanessa, Adelaide, Olivia, Rosaline. The boys' names I like best begin with G: Gawaine, Gareth, Gavin, Gabriel, Gregory, Glenn.
Not that I am going to pop out a name-requiring baby anytime soon. But the more I file students' folders at work, the more I think about names, name combinations, name origins, the names of my future children, etc.
I have been having facial deja vu with nearly everyone I see. It's as if I've suddenly discovered a web of connectivity between all people, everywhere. Note for further use.
The world and I are on most amiable terms.
