Three cheers for the day off! Hip hip HOORAY!!! Being the consumer whore that I am, I spent my day shopping. I went to Nagoya and explored Osu-Kannon before going to Sakae where I enjoyed some KFC, picked up the new Economist and a new harlequin and just walked around and had a blast.
By far the best part of the day was Osu. The area itself isn't that impressive; it's kinda dark and hard to find and there's not that much there really. I went to Like An Edison with the intention of buying NOIZ's new Maxi Single, but it isn't released until next week so my bad. ;-_- I wandered around the shopping arcade and saw this totally cute shirt on a manequin. I went into the store just intending to look at it, and this totally adorable Lolita shop girl comes up to me and takes me around the whole store, showing me all the new arrivals. I find the shirt that the manequin was wearing and she got all excited and insisted I try on the whole outfit. So I did. And it was sweet because as she was setting me up in the dressing room she gets very shy all of a sudden and says to me, in Japanese, that she knows its a strange request but could I show her when I put the outfit on? Aww! Too cute! So I try it on, and I will be completely un-me and tell you that damn I looked good. Like really good. I was shocked at how good I looked in this outfit. (^_^)V
Okay now I'm embarassed, but let's end the story with the news that I did buy the shirt. The whole outfit would have been over 10,000yen and I just can't afford it. I will go back though. And thankfully the shirt looks good with my pleated skirt and I'm going to go out tomorrow for some fabric scraps and safety pins to try and punk it up some more. And Rachel, in addition to doing a photo shoot with me outside our apartment, lent me her black platforms and they really make the outfit.
