So, this entry is a long time coming...
Lets start with my recent trip to A-town (two weekends ago) It was fun- Lauren (My big sister) and Megan Harris came up with me. I went out with my mom Saturday morning, and went to party at Tech Saturday night. The drinking was out of control... OMG I was so drunk.I saw lots of cool people there like Nate and Tom. Anyway, I believe that I really wanted to leave my shoes at the party, invited a dozen guys down for Mardi Gras, and payed for like, 6 people's food. Wow. I still made it home by 5 am and then got up at 9 so we could leave for Red Stick by 12. We stopped by Auburn to get some stuff for Jeremy and we met up with William- I actually rode with him the whole way back. That was fun times. So, last Monday was formal pledging for SAI when I found out that Lauren is my big sis! I'm so happy with that. Our class has 14 girls in it. Geez. The week went by ok, then Friday night was Danny's lingere party. Again, more drinking. Woo. It was a pretty crazy night. Saturday, I went to the Rose Tea with the Alumni and Southern U's chapters. It was by far the girliest thing I've done in a very long time. Hung out at Steve's with the guys for the evening. Sunday, I went to eat with the guys at CiCi's after they sang at the baseball game. On the way back, Jeremy and I got to talking and we agreed to a much needed break. So there it is. I'm single for the first time in a year and a half. I thought it was absolutely what I needed to be happy... or maybe I just needed to see things from the other side for a while. Either way, its not the best feeling in the world. Theres definitely a void in my heart now and I'm seeing everything I took for granted. It's a nice reality check. Jeremy is still my best friend and this is by no means the end of "us" forever. In fact, I think this break now may help us in the long run... Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I suppose. But for now, I'm going to enjoy being single, have a kick-ass time pledging SAI, and get my life where it needs to be. So there.
