I just wanted to write a quick note to say that I am very thankful for the 24 years that God has given me, and however many are left to come. I'm very much excited to see where God leads me next.... This is going to be an AWESOME year :)
Quick rundown of the birthday celebrations:
Birthday Eve:
- Went to my first ZUMBA class with a new friend. It was AMAZING! I'm pretty sure there's a dance party in Heaven and it's called ZUMBA :).
- Went bowling with the family (host family). Thank God for the bumpers :)
- Experienced the awesomeness that is THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY. It was a two hour wait but it was so worth it. They even brought me my Dulce de Leche Cheesecake with a candle and a plate with Happy Birthday To You written on it in chocolate syrup and sprinkles. amazing :)
As far as my actual birthday, today has been pretty low key. I went to Starbucks @ Target, bought myself a new wallet, came home and cleaned my room.... checked my Facebook throughout the day (Thanks guys!!!), aaaand that was pretty much it until I left for Lifeteen and 5pm mass.
Mass on your birthday = Awesome. Both the
first and second reading for today were a beautiful gift from God :)
Lifeteen was great... and I have to say that I am continually thankful to be a part of the St. Mark The Evangelist community. This Parish is AWESOME and it is a constant witness of what it means to really Live Out the Catholic Faith and share it with others. I can't wait to see how my Church family continues to grow over the next year or two (or three... or ???)
That's pretty much it as far as a quick rundown of the bday stuff. There's more to say, more to reflect on, more to plan.... but in reality it all comes down to this:
God has a beautiful plan and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next :)
Thank you for your birthday wishes and love. If I didn't have stuff like Facebook, Livejournal, and text messaging.... I'm pretty sure this would have been a very sad and lonely day. God bless technology and incredible amigos :)
