(November 12th entry written on the plane to Japan)
Jenna and I are sittingin row 27 in economy class. So far on the flight we've ate, watched "The Lake House", p[layed games on the computer and I've tried to sleep. It's pretty hard to sleep sitting up in this small space. It woul've been nice to sit up front but I don't expect it or anything.
At least we got on the plane!! More than once I though I was going to have to drive Jenna and I home in the Ventra. In Halifax, we got on the plance, but BARELY made it. Phew.
In Toronto we had some time to kill so we got lunch in the employee cafeteria (bet you didn't know they had one eh? It's down some random hallway without a sign. Ohh a secret cafeteria. Scary). We also watched TV up in the pilot's lounge while dad checked the weather etc. Jenna and I met the relief Pilot in the lounge. He was absolutely hilarious and didn't hold back on the story telling. He even told us about how he had been partying at a staff thing he night before and to roughly quote him:
"Some chick called me at 3am and I was like, who the hell are you and why are you calling me?"
Oh boy. Pilots.
So once we were at the gate we got boarding passes after hearing a million times that the flight was full and not to get our hopes up. Well we got on and sat down. Yay. End of story? I think not.
Once Jenna and I were settled into our seats a flight attendant comes over and tells us to get out stuff ready because we might have to get off the plane! The plane was pretty full and I guess the numbers were off for weight and balance. Fortunely Dad and the Captain pulled some strings and the whole 200 lbs between us were able to keep our lucky butts on the plane.
So here I am. Not sure what time it is, or even what day it is actually...have we crossed the date line? Oh well. I better catch some zzz's. At least when I wake up it will be some time on the 13th...or 11th?
