Yesterday
Yesterday I nearly finished putting trim on the Lady Dragon bodice. Added lace to the neckline, made and added pleated trim to the bottom of the neckline, put both pleated trim and lace trim on the sleeves. Now I just need to finish the back and maybe add a bit more to the sleeves.
Wore the gown to a masquerade ball wedding in University City. Wow, everyone was really dressed up and had beautiful masks. The wedding itself was funny and sweet, the bride had a hot pink mohawk and wore a crystal and beaded strapless gown with a full skirt and train with a lace shrug to hide all the tattoos. She was stunning! Food was incredible and I danced to The Smiths, The Cure, and more.
Left around midnight only to get caught in the most horrific thunderstorm I have ever witnessed. Cars were pulled over on the highway 'cause you could barely see to drive, but I kept on. Almost got caught in a flash flood on 320 near home, but plowed my Mini Cooper through all the water, nearly blind and panicking. Thank god there was an umbrella in the back seat!
We failed at doing that blood curve on Zsa Zsa last week because we didn't have enough lancets, so we're doing it today. Also need to work on my Jump dress.
Heard from Cat in California, and she has some amazing things planned for us next week - shopping in LA, Victorian tea, cemetery picnic and more! We're so excited! I can't believe it's just in a few days!
