Dad took the week off from work last week. It was a little nerve wracking, partly because I didn't know he was going to. (I hardly ever come out of my bedroom while the folks are home, so I guess nobody really had a chance to tell me). And partly becuase, well, at first I hated being home alone ALL THE TIME! But now, frankly I can't wait for them to leave in the morning and I half dread the weekends. I like being home by myself now. I have more freedom. And with dad home all week, that freedom was gone. But that weel is over, he's back at work and my freedom has returned ^_^
I sold an auction on eBay last Tuesday. I meant to send it out today, but I forgot to print the address for mom so she could send it from work. I figured I would be up when she was getting ready for work, but I woke up an hour too late. Good thing I never told the buyer that it was supposed to be going out today lol. I sold 5 Neopets plushie btw. I made $13.99.
The best part of last week was Saturday. Mom and I went down to the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth. It's about an hour and a half - two hour drive. It took us a little longer because the directions mom printed out were a bit confusing (beware of Google Maps!) but after a few turn arounds we finally got on the right track. I hadn't been to Rehoboth since I was really little (I was pwned by a wave at the beach rofl). We drove past Dover Speedway where they have NASCAR races. Our neighbors went down there recently. We drove past the Dover Air Force Base. We were lucky enough to see a few planes take off and come in. Those fuckers are HUGE! Probably the biggest planes I've ever seen. I have a vague memory of seeing one the first time I went to Rehoboth. It was awesome seeing those behemoths in the sky like that. It's amazing that something so big and obviously heavy can stay in the air at all. We also drove past some tiki bars (it made me think of that one episode of Viva La Bam)
We tried to go to Dewey Beach before the outlets, but there was no parking anywhere. They have lots of interesting shops near there though.
Then we finally got to the Tanger Outlets. The Tanger Outlets are split up into three locations. Alot of the stores there are brand name clothing stores like Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, ect. Some places we had never heard of will not llikey go to again. Either because it was too expencive or it's just not our style. We went into alot of stores, so I'll just mention the ones I liked or got something from.
Christmas Tree Hill: I assume this place sells christmas stuff all year round. The did have some halloween stuff too. The had some funny tree ornaments of deer wearing bright orange hunting suits and a string of shotgun shell jingle bells. The had several theme christmas trees. My favorite was the wine themed tree. It was full of grapes and little wine bottles. I didn't get anything there. I picked out a black millefiori heart pendant necklace for Sara and mom got an umbrella.
Tiger Lilli: This plae has awesome jewelry and accressories. It gave me plenty of beading ideas ^_^ I got a set of silver bangel bracelets. I've wanted some for a while now. I love the sound the make when the clank together, but the dogs bark whenever they hear it, so I will probably only wear them when I go out somewhere.
Rue 21: I didn't get anything here, but it's a neat sotre. It reminds me of Hot Topic minus the music and the pop culture merchandise. They have clothes, shoes and accessories. Neon colors are "in" this season so there was tons of colorful stuff. Sara had told me about the place before. Mom said "yeah, this is deffinetly someplace Sara would know about."
Icing: We have one of these in the mall. It's a branch from Clair's or something. It's like a mature Claire's. I got two headbands with big flowers on them. One is black with a big dark pink flower and the other is like a mauve purple color.
Claire's: Can't have Icing without a Clair's nearby can you? Neon colored stuff out the ass! I loved neon colors so it was great stuff. I got some kitty ear hair clips and some fishnet fingerless gloves. I tried them on when I got home and I don't like the way they fit, so I'm giving them to Sara. I got her a pair of skeleton earings. We kinda wanted to get out of there quickly becuase there was a little girl about to get her ears pierced >_<
The Disney Store: Didn't get anything here. It's alot better than the one in the mall. This one had lots more toys. Most of it was Disney Princess stuff and costumes.
Old Navy: They were having a clearnace sale or something. The place was so unorganzied. Like a mob just tore through. I got a plain skirt. It's a little big but I think it will shrink a little when I wash it. And the waist is really stretchy so I can wear it over my jeans. I got Sara a black t-shirt with a ribcage on it. It's kinda the hoody she has. The size was a boy's youth large. Sara is petite so it should fit her just fine. She likes bones, skulls and skeletons if you haven't already figured that out. Mom got some sweaters. She said I could have them if they shrink too much lol.
Lane Bryant (aka The Fat Girl store lol): I wish they had stuff that was a little more edgier. I did get a denim vest though. It looks good with the skirt from Old Navy.
Book Cellar: I walked out of the store empty-handed. Which is very rare for me. They didn't have anything that I've been reading at all.
Yankee Candle: It smelled so good! Mom got some car aii fresheners of A Midsummer's Night (her favorite scent) and I got a large candle of Fresh Cut Roses. I wanted one of Spring Bouquet but I couldn't find one (and there were people in my way the whole time).
Those were the best parts. Purfumania gave me a headache.
We took a different route home. We dorve over St. George bride. It's looked really cool all lit up at night. It overlooked Deleware City. It's a bunch of refineries orsomething. But the way it's lit up makes it look like it's decorated for christmas. It took me a little while to realize we were back in Newark. I go through there all the time but never at night, so I didn't reconize it at first lol.
Sara didn't go with us. She wanted to but her boyifriend's mom was getting married that day and she was a bridesmaid.
Mom wants to go back after her next paycheck. She wants to go on a Moday to avoid the crowds. Maybe next time we'll be able to see the beach.
So that was Saturday. On Sunday, my legs ACHED. I did alot of walking, more than I was used to. They are still a little sore right now. Yesterday we went to Borders Book so I could get Yen Plus but they didn't have it. Damn. They were have a Buy 4 Get 1 Free on their manga so I took advantage of that this time. I was hoping to get a bunch of D.Gray-Man, but they didn't have #6, so I ended up only getting one volume. The others I got were Fairy Cube #1, Vassalord #1, Yostuba!& #1 and Otoman #3. I was ticked to find that they removed all but the recent volumes of The Wallflower. I just started reading that series too. Damnit! I hate when they do that. That's what they did with Gintama and then they got rid of O-Parts Hunter and The Law of Ueki all together. And those were series that I had just started as well. I got the froth Legend Of Drizzt book too. Sara got book about Ed Gein.
I read Vassalord #1 last night. It by Nane Chrono, who did Peacemaker. It's a funny shounen-ai about a cyborg vampire who works for the vatican and a vampire playboy. I also read half of Yostuba!& #1. I've only read half and I already recommend it. It's just so cute and funny.
Oh and last week I won an auction for a cute chibi figure of Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler. I think it should be here by Friday.
Wow. It took me an hour to write all that...
