Travel Log - Okanagan with BCFFC
Day 1: coffee maker broke. Yes, it's that serious.Luckily the camp has a 100+ cup urn and a volunteer that makes coffee every morning at 7:30am <3
Day 2: Brandon's having a blast, comes home tired, despite this I'm still the one who's the most excited to be here!
Day 3: Happy to find Philip's beer in Vernon, we came in to pick up pizza for dinner, roughing it :D Every night we have a moniteur over for dinner.
Day 4: Went to Enderby to tube down the river. Saw wren's, eagles and I fell in love with the pasttime. Bad accident in Armstrong on the way back :(
Day 5: Canoed across the lake, sat under an eagle, back to camp in time to light the fire and invite the neighbours over. Best neighbours ever, a mom and 6 teenage girls!
Day 6: trying to learn the Djembe, I apparently have no rhythm, feel spastic, instead stare in wonder and groove to the beat others are playing.
Day 7: Cried. I don't want to leave.
Drove Pemberton/Hope back home, I LOVE this route. Stopped in Keremeos for dinner, watched the sun set in Hedley, everything was golden. Skinny dipped outside Manning Park. Saw a man pray to Allah on the side of the road. Osprey catch a fish. Made a promise to drive up to Bromley Rock soon to jump off it.
