Love Woodstock
(hopefully this will work, lj is being a poop and I'm too dumb to know how to make it behave)
Background: Love Woodstock is MAYOR Love Woodstock, eldest of the second generation Woodstock spawn. She lives with her long time lover, Brandon Lillard, and their daughter, Sunshine.
This unassuming home is where the Mayor lives? Are you kidding?
Why there she is now. Aww, she still has such deep desire for her long time lover, Brandon.
But it's not all fun and games in the Mayoral homestead. . .
Mayor Love works hard representing the voters of Nocheat.
This work ethic is also handed down to her daughter, Sunshine.
(check out the hand print on the windshield of the car!) Just because Sunshine's mother is the Mayor and Sunshine attends private school doesn't excuse her from holding down an afterschool job. If she wants to make something of herself, she'll have to work like every other sim.
Her father, Brandon, is a little slow picking up the concept.
"You're mom's the mayor. Why are you getting a job?"
"School's not enough. I have some great recipe ideas I've been working on."
"Recipes?"
"Yeah, using these flowers I've been growing."
Sunshine makes it to the top of her career track without a hitch. In fact, she was promoted all the way to the top after her FIRST day. I think it might have been a glitch. She also received a cooking skill point from school. I wonder if being in private school had something to do with that? My public school students routinely get the "so and so made x money from a bake sale, etc" But Sunshine gained a cooking skill point by working the school bake sale (something along the line of "Since Sunshine was the only student who knew how to cook. . ."). Hey, either way, I'll take it.
But she's still not making any headway with her father.
*laughing* "With all your cooking skill, you'll make some man a great wife someday."
"No way. I'm going to be a celebrity chef. I'll make millions with my cookbooks alone."
"Puh. There's no money in cookbooks."
Sunshine continues to tend her delicious flowers. . .
. . .and perfect her recipes.
While her daughter and lover debate the merits of a life devoted to the culinary arts, Love meets with a concerned member of the community.
"How's it coming along?"
Ursula Vu, after being laughed at by the police force, brought her concerns to Mayor Love Woodstock.
"Well, to be frank, I'm concerned this might alienate some members of the community."
"Oh, you mean those Saturn's Nine sims?"
"But they're global. Practically a legitimate religion. What I'm talking about it completely different."
"Well, some legislation has been drafted. But it would really help if you had a stronger position, maybe an expert?"
"Oh, you mean to back up the claims of the threat to public health?"
"Yes. If you had a medical professional who could testify at the hearing, I'm sure it would help sway votes in your favor."
"You think that would help us get the last five we need?"
"It can't hurt."
