Meme time: This one's going around like pink eye
I was tagged for the "share things about you" meme so I'll play along.
First, the "rules" (and I've seen two versions of this so. . .)
A. Share 10 (and I've seen 7 as the magic number) habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag 10 (or 7) others to do the same OR do an all call.
OK, time to share some crap about myself.
(in no particular order)
1. I have my own sheets and blankets on the queen sized bed I share with my wife and firmly believe this is a key to a good marriage (we're closing in on 10 years so. . .). As of this writing, I cover up with a sheet, two blankets and a comforter. My wife, being a human radiator, has only one or two blankets (yes, we keep our house cold on purpose because we are cheap).
2. I hate having my face and feet touched. Even by professionals. This is probably why I don't wear contacts or makeup (I've never worn makeup except once in a while for halloween things) and can't even imagine getting a pedicure (and have only ever had one maincure--HATED it).
3. I don't like to drive. While I'm legally and physically capable, I much prefer the freedom that comes with NOT having to pay attention to anything while in the car. If I have to drive, I prefer to be alone so I don't have to worry about my passengers (either them critiquing my skills or the looming threat that I will kill them all).
4. I love to start new projects but fail at follow through (unless there is a deadline or some good reason to finish). That leads to me not wanting to discuss new projects for fear someone will ask me about them later forcing me to admit I'm a lax creator.
5. I prefer to work low level, repetitive jobs. I NEVER want to be someone's boss. I much prefer the freedom of being able to pass difficult customers/issues off to someone above me. And I enjoy being able to master a job so it becomes second nature. I never want a "career". A job is just fine, thanks.
6. I obsessively pick my finger nails. This includes (but is not limited to) clipping, filing, cleaning, peeling and constantly rubbing the egdes in search of imperfections. If I spend a lot of time somewhere, you will find a nail clipper and file there (beside the couch, at my home computer, in the car, in my bag which I carry every day). But this does not mean my nails are polished and perfect. I have raggedy cuticles and never paint my nails. I just constantly worry them. (this obsession does not extend to toes--they only get normal tending)
7. I HATE having my picture taken and/or seeing photos of myself. Even pictures from when I was a child or from fun moments in my life.
8. I have never gone to the movie theater alone. I really want to but just never have.
9. I have a puppy tooth (from my now long deceased dog) in a drawer in a desk at home.
10. I prefer talk radio to music (when working).
That's it.
