Random sims blather : Re legacies
It worked.
Doing a legacy has re-kindled my affection for the game.
AND I realized (yet again) what a dumbass I am.
So, I've never adopted a stray into a house because (and get this, I have the prima guide so I could have looked it up) I thought it was some kind of automatic thing, like you'd get a random pop-up when the pet wanted to be adopted. Yeah, like I said, dumbass. Once I squeezed my head out of my ass, I saw the "adopt" choice in the interaction menu. I am so smart. SMRT. Now I just need to find a FEMALE cat to adopt in so I can start the pet breeding portion of the Allsorts legacy.
Oh and having saved pet breeds is wonderful. I'm getting some very colorful strays thanks to having saved the pets from Peculiar (and the Danger dog breeding experiment--I snorked cherry coke out my nose when I saw that stray dog lumber into the Allsorts' yard).
And having the distraction of a commentary legacy has made me keen to get back to writing Peculiar. It's win/win here, folks.
