Random Sims Blather : To Legacy or not to Legacy

I'm seriously considering jumping on the legacy bandwagon again.  I've been watching the Founder Challenge over at legacy_writers and think it's a good opportunity to do another legacy ( Read more... )

I miss writing Peculiar. I'm really trying to get part 3 of "Strange Bedfellows" out before my vacation. I have pretty much all the pics ready I just need to DO it.

Running a sim business (from home, I've never owned a comm lot business) is fun. It's a lot of work, too (but great for elders who have nothing else to do with their time).

Beach lots are fun, too. In fact, I'm amending the poverty challenge rules so I can use the "comb" and "dig" options from BV. For your issue with beach lots, did you make sure you selected the "beach lot" option in the houses area in neighborhood view? I know the first time I tried to make a beach lot I did it wrong. I just thought you could put a lot at the water's edge and it would automatically become a beach lot. I had to consult the prima guide to see what I did wrong. Once I used the "beach lot" choice, everything was fine. Digging for treasure should work on any lot (unless there is snow on the ground).

The problem with the "raise X pets" is having to get rid of them once they grow to adult. I hate to see my sims cry over their missing pet (even if the pet went to a good home). I'm such a sucker.

I used the right lot, managed to figure that one out, but I get no option for digging or combing or sunbathing, but can go swimming in the water. No option for building sand castles either. I am sure it's a hack or object conflict. I have just been too lazy to go through my CC to find what it is.

I would have a hard time dealing with the missing pet grief too. I could never do the ISBI challenge due to that. I can't stand to see my sims so upset and sad.
