So, the clinic has been built.
It houses five live-in patients and their social worker/doctor/normal sim and is located (conveniently) next door to the Grunt household.
The patients (in no particular order--last names omitted on a few since I forgot spellings or the name entirely).
Mary Jane Jones
Timothy Jones
Zoiberg
Jordan
Dolores Mullen
They will be joined (now and again) by two other non-live in patients, Wynona and Michele Angela.
The social worker/normal sim will be responsible for helping each of the live-in patients accomplish assorted goals in hopes that they will eventually be able to live on their own (some are very close). I'm not running the clinic like an Asylum Challenge proper. In fact, it could hardly even be considered an asylum challenge at all anymore except that the social worker/normal sim will need to accomplish his (hint) lifetime want before being able to hand any remaining patients off to another social worker (hopefully all sims will be able to live on their own by that point). Each live-in patient has a set of goals to work toward.
The two patients not living in the clinic will visit frequently (even spending extended amounts of time there now and again).
All of the patients except one are adults.
Timothy and Mary Jane are the only siblings.
The social worker/normal sim is also going to help any established Strangetown sims with any of their mental health needs. (Nervous Subject, I'm looking at you).
I just have to put both of the non-live in patients into the neighborhood (that means building some houses--ugh) and getting them all settled.
So far, I'm VERY happy with the sims I've chosen for this experiment. The only snag is Zoiberg's alien tentacles (yes, he's the tentacle face guy). They do jab into him at times. Dolores's custom hair does the same at times, too.
I'm going to go into SimPE (or InSim if it can do that) and tinker with the live-in patients personalities. I'd like to make them more extreme.
And last but not least, something weird happened. I had to download a lot of custom stuff for the patients and I noticed when I'm in CAS, most of my Maxis custom hairs (like the blue fauxhawk and the rainbow mohawk) aren't available. They are available if I send a sim to a mirror in game, though. Weird. As long as they are still there, I can't say it bothers me that much. It's just strange.
