hey-o! name's oryx. :) i hope there's at least one pairing in my requests that's to your liking, and i hope writing for me is at least somewhat fun!
before i delve into my requests n such, here are some things i like in a general sense:
* drama/angst, though preferably not too over-the-top or forced
* fluffy adorableness, though again, not too OTT
* understated/"less is more" romance (i tend to like the emotional side of relationships moreso than the physical tbh)
* character studies
* fic that really explores the canon setting/world and makes it seem tangible
* present tense! though i realize some people hate present tense, so if you're one of those, it's all good~
and some general dislikes:
* smut for smut's sake. i have no issue with a minor sex scene here and there, but i'm not a fan of PWP, kink, or anything gratuitous.
* characters behaving OOC
* most AUs (i love "butterfly effect"/canon-divergent AUs, actually, but everything else? not so much)
* first person POV (except on rare occasions)
and now the specifics...
Pokemon: Erika/Sabrina, Janine/Leaf, May/Shelly, Cynthia/Dawn, Elesa/Skyla, Mei (aka Rosa)/Roxie
wow, that is a lot of pairings. my apologies. (◡‿◡✿)
i really enjoy ships where one person is more outgoing and/or confident and the other is more subdued and/or awkward (erika/sabrina, leaf/janine, skyla/elesa), and i especially love when the more subdued person is "brought out of their shell" so to speak. and i have a bit of a thing for age differences as well (shelly/may, cynthia/dawn), particularly when the younger individual is the one actively pursuing a relationship.
anyways, so... pokemon. not a ton of characterization to go on there, so feel free to go wild, i suppose! most of these ships are quite rare, so i'd be happy with just about anything really~
Homestuck: Kanaya/Rose, Jane/Roxy, Aranea/Meenah
i didn't specify quadrants because i don't really mind which way they're written? i highly prefer flushed, of course, but pale is cool too. and i can't really envision blackrom for any of them, but i suppose it could be done... anywho! for rose/kan & meenah/aranea, fluff or plotty fic would be great. :) whereas for roxy/jane i'd love some angst, preferably from roxy's POV. i see it as a onesided love at first, with jane slowly recognizing her own feelings as time goes by. ♥
The Hunger Games: Katniss/Madge
i view this as unrequited on madge's part, so anything written from that angle would be neat. but requited is fine too!
Tales of Vesperia: Estelle/Rita
i love these two sososo much. :') rita's crush on estelle is visible from space IMHO. anything set post-game would be great - fluff, drama, plot, whatever. it's all good. though for them i definitely prefer a happy ending~
Fate/zero: Irisviel/Saber
maybe something set during the show would be best, since, well. you know. i like to pretend that they had a little bit of time to themselves to sightsee in japan before everything went to hell in a handbasket, so maybe something along those lines? just the lovely lady and her dashing king of knights, on a fun vacation across the japanese countryside-- welp just made myself sad. ;_;
Yuyu Hakusho: Mukuro/Yukina
this is an odd ship of mine. i honestly have no idea how it would work, but i think they would be really intriguing together. no suggestions here sorry to say; just curiosity.
