Here, I will write in my LiveJournal for the first time. I will write a message of welcoming to all my friends, who will be watching me here, and greatly will enjoy the food I am giving them, with the recipes. Sometimes, there will not be recipes, but I will share other parts which are of the joy of living, like being in nature, up in the mountains. Perhaps my friends will share their recipes for the food and for the joy of living, which will grow because of it.
Here is a first recipe, which is of me from the internet, after it has been changed.
Madame Ilyana's Warm Cabbagey Goodness
1 small head of green cabbage
4 oz genoa salami
1 egg
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
filo pastry
melted butter
Here is what you do. First you must chop the cabbage up, roughly. Then you boil it, till it is soft and limp. Once the cabbage is drained, under the cold water, fry the salami in butter and olive oil until is starting to crisp. Meantime, you must chop the cabbage up nice and fine, very very small. Then add to salami, with more butter, and fry it until texture is soft and creamy.
Your oven should now be 400 degrees. Take a deep, rectangular baking pan and brush with butter. Then put a sheet of filo, folded, brushed with butter, into bottom. Take cabbage and salami, and mix with egg, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese. Spread one-quarter of mix onto the filo sheet, then cover with more filo. Always, now, you are brushing with the butter. Do not hesitate - this is where good vitamins are coming from. Then, continue, layering filo with cabbage, until you finish with a double-layer of filo. This must then be baked, in the oven, for twenty minutes, or until top is gold and crisp.
This is reminding of Madame Ilyana's childhood, where there was much cabbage, and is very warm and comfortable.
I hope now that you will be enjoying it, and that you will be coming back to Madame Ilyana's LiveJournal of the Food and the Love-Making with great often!
